Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, and for all activity that occurs under your account.

2. The Service

fileme allows you to upload, store, and manage documents via our cloud storage, or access them directly from your connected Google Drive account. Our Chrome browser extension allows you to select, retrieve, resize, download, and upload/insert these documents into forms and pages on third-party websites. Features and usage limits (such as storage capacity and document count) depend on your subscription plan as described on our Pricing page. We may add, modify, or remove features over time.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Paid plans are billed in Indian Rupees (INR) on a recurring subscription basis through our payment partner, Razorpay. By subscribing, you authorise us and Razorpay to charge the applicable fees to your selected payment method at each billing cycle until you cancel. Prices are shown on the Pricing page and may change with prior notice; changes apply from the next billing cycle.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle and you retain access until then. Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Document Ownership & License

You retain full ownership of all documents and files you upload to our cloud storage or access via Google Drive. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, and transmit these documentssolely to operate and provide the Service to you. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, permissions, and consents to upload and process these documents, and that doing so does not infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service, including the Chrome extension, to store, manage, or distribute documents that:

• are unlawful, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or harmful;
• violate the privacy, intellectual property, or personal rights of others;
• contain malware, viruses, or malicious code;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or third-party platforms.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.

7. Chrome Extension & Third-Party Websites

Our Chrome extension allows you to upload and input your documents into forms on third-party websites. You acknowledge and agree that:

• We do not control, monitor, or have any responsibility for the content, security, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites;
• You are solely responsible for verifying the legitimacy of any third-party website where you choose to insert or upload your documents;
• We assume absolutely no liability for any data breaches, misuse, or unauthorized disclosures that occur on or via third-party websites after you upload documents using the Chrome extension.

8. Google Drive Integration Disclaimer

Integration with Google Drive is provided as a feature for your convenience. Google Drive is owned and operated by Google LLC. We are not responsible for Google Drive's availability, service interruptions, data loss, or security. Your use of Google Drive is subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, code, designs, browser extension, and branding, is owned by fileme and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks, code, or intellectual property.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless fileme, its affiliates, officers, directors, and employees from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from: (i) your use of and access to the Service and Chrome extension; (ii) your violation of any term of these Terms; (iii) your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right; or (iv) any claim that your documents caused damage to a third party.

11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, fileme DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL fileme BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, DOCUMENTS, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH: (I) YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE OR CHROME EXTENSION; (II) ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR USE OF OUR SERVERS AND/OR USER DOCUMENTS; (III) ANY LOSS, CORRUPTION, OR DELETION OF YOUR DOCUMENTS; OR (IV) ACTIONS OR DATA BREACHES OCCURRING ON THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India.
